Our next project was to get the girls playroom decorated which was previously a hair salon used by the previous owners. We needed an entire wall skimmed having taken the tiles off, artex ceiling updated and several spot lights replaced and an extractor fan removed. We were given a quote of over £1000 and told the whole ceiling needed pulled down or over-boarding! While out on a dog walk I saw a sign for Curry Brothers and emailed them with my requirements. The following day I received a response from Toby who offered to come round in person to give me a quote. A few days later he came over and was very enthusiastic about the job and reassured us with his skills and knowledge that there would be no need to over board making us a huge saving. The planned work took just over two days to complete. During the work we decided to have a water pipe moved out the wall to improve the finish which for some tradesman could be an inconvenience at such short notice however Toby is very well connected and was able to arrange for his plumber to come out the same day to remove the pipe. The entire job was done to a very high standard. There was little to no mess which is uncommon for a plasterer :) and any made was cleared up by Toby and his team. He arrived each morning on time and is trustworthy enough that we left him a key while we did the school run. Several weeks after while adding the finishing touches to the room we were replacing the socket covers during which one became loose from the stud wall which had been installed by the previous owners. I called Toby and asked if I could book him to replace it where to my surprise he came over within the hour and the repairs were made in less than 5 minutes at no charge! I would highly recommend Toby and his team for any work! He is clearly passionate about the work he does and we are already looking into the possibility of him making us a media wall.
